In this new release Karaka explores the hypnagogia of raga forms, realized on analog electronics, Indian sruti box, aerophones, & tape. The textural compositions shift between meditative drone & multi-timbral ecstaticism, underpinned by whirling sonic dynamos & various instruments of the Pacific Islands. Interspersed with field recordings, the micro-tonalities & creeping harmony pattern a counter-transference of no good persian surgeries, and are best enjoyed in close listening environments.
